Dakota Staton

Dakota Staton is one of three vocalists featured today (April 22nd) on Melodies & Memories "Historical Recordings" tracklist. I'll be taking one song by Staton, one by June Christy and one by Kate Smith from the compilation Lp "The Fabulous Gershwin", and interspersing these among some equally wonderful instrumental sides including "Rhapsody In Blue" with Lou Bush on piano, "A Foggy Day" interpreted by The George Shearing Quintet, "Our Love Is Here To Stay" and "But Not For Me" by Jackie Gleason and his orchestra.
